About Prince of Peace

We are bringing people together to worship God,
to walk humbly with Jesus,
to learn the way of the cross,
to do justice,
to search for peace,
to forgive our enemies,
and to love and serve our neighbors.

Located on the border of Shoreline and Seattle, we are a congregation with a mission to serve our community. Our neighborhood is multicultural and economically mixed. We are not far from the multi-million dollar homes overlooking Lake Washington. In our immediate neighborhood, there are many people who can scarcely afford a room and a car. Our members come from both these neighborhoods. We are wealthy and poor, youthful and elderly, single, single and raising children, married with families, divorced, and everything in between.

Our greatest desire is to share the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We do this through worship, study, fellowship and service. We provide opportunities for all ages to participate in all of these aspects of Christian life.

Our commitment to service is well known in the community. Perhaps best known is the meal we serve free to the community on Wednesday evenings. You are invited to come and dine with us any Wednesday, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. Afterward, you are welcome to stay for a class on the Bible and Christian faith. We discuss a variety
of theological topics, and we approach them from a variety of points of view. We respect diversity of thought. One of the great legacies we have from Martin Luther is that it is faithful to ask questions. We don't have all the answers this side of the grave. What we do have, is a love for Jesus.
